AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken Women’s Soccer player Caroline Gillespine was named the inaugural South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week of the 2011-12 athletic year on Sept. 6, 2011.
Gillespie has helped the Pacers off to a perfect 2-0 start.
In USC Aiken’s victory over Newberry on Sunday, Sept. 4, Gillespie finished USC Aiken’s 2-1 win with both of the Pacer tallies.

After Newberry tied the game at 1-1 in the early going of the second half, Gillespie blasted a shot in from 25 yards out to give the Pacers a 2-1 lead that they would never relinquish at the 65-minute mark.
