Edens Chosen Peach Belt Conference Goalkeeper of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken goalkeeper Alli Edens was selected the Peach Belt Conference Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011.

Edens (Lexington, S.C. /College of Charleston) is USC Aiken’s first ever Peach Belt Conference Goalkeeper of the Week.

Edens has been a key cog in USC Aiken’s perfect 2-0 start, allowing just one goal in 141 minutes in net. She finished USC Aiken’s inaugural two games of the 2011 season with four saves.

Edens is presently third in the Peach Belt Conference with a 0.64 Goals Against Average.

Edens and the Pacers open their 2011 home schedule this evening with a 5 p.m. contest against Brevard at the “Pacer Pit.”

On Saturday, Sept. 10, USC Aiken will open Peach Belt Conference play against North Georgia at the “Pacer Pit.” Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
