DeGraffinreed Named to PBC Women’s Basketball Preseason All-Conference Team
AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken women’s basketball player Hannah DeGraffinreed has been named to the 2011-12 Peach Belt Conference Preseason Women’s Basketball All-Conference Team.
The league office released the five-member women’s basketball preseason All-Conference team. The team was selected by the Peach Belt Conference women’s basketball head coaches.
Both Tanisha Woodard and Drameka Griggs of Clayton State were on the squad, joining Columbus State’s Dominique Gilbert, Lander’s Jasmine Judge and DeGraffinreed.
DeGraffinreed (Raleigh, N.C./Merrimack College) concluded last season by being selected to the 2010-11 Peach Belt Conference All-Conference Second-Team.
DeGraffinreed, who was also tabbed to the 2011 Peach Belt All-Tournament team, averaged 11.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game last year.
DeGraffinreed set a new PBC Tournament record last season by hitting all seven of her shots in USC Aiken's Peach Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinal win over Francis Marion. She was fourth in the conference overall last year with a .538 field goal percentage. She scored in double figures 24 times last year.
The senior also claimed two double-doubles during the 2010-11 season, including finishing with 17 points and 14 rebounds in USC Aiken’s win over then No. 2 Lander on Feb. 23, 2011.
