USC Aiken Still Third in Latest Region Poll
INDIANAPOLIS - The nationally 15th-ranked University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team remained ranked third in the latest NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Southeast Region rankings.
USC Aiken is one six Peach Belt Conference teams ranked in the top 10 in the latest region tally. The top four spots are currently occupied by PBC teams with nationally-ranked Clayton State first in the region poll and national No. 2 Lander second in the latest poll. Francis Marion is just behind USC Aiken in fourth, while Georgia College is presently sixth.
Columbus State is the final PBC team in the region poll, coming in at No. 10.
Winners of 16 of its last 18 games, the nationally 15th-ranked USC Aiken women’s basketball team begins the upcoming week owning a 21-4 overall record. The Pacers are 13-2 in the Peach Belt Conference.
USC Aiken is just minutes away from tipping off with UNC Pembroke at 5:30 p.m. The game is the first game of a Peach Belt Conference men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader with the Pacer men scheduled to take on the UNC Pembroke men immediately following the women’s game at approximately 7:30 p.m.
