Watson Selected to PBC Men’s Soccer All-Tournament Team
EVANS, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken men’s soccer senior Troy Watson concluded his career by being named to the Peach Belt Conference Men’s Soccer All-Tournament Team.
In USC Aiken’s tournament loss to eventual Peach Belt Conference Tournament champion Flagler, Watson led the Pacers with two shots.
Watson (Kingston, Jamaica/Montreat) finished his final season in a Pacer uniform with a team second-best six points in the 2011 season. In 13 matches played, Watson scored a team second-best two goals to go along with a team second-best two assists.
Watson closed his Pacer career with 13 career goals to go along with 11 career assists. His 37 career points leave him 14th all-time in Pacer history.
Watson’s best year as a Pacer came in the 2009 season when he was named a Second-Team All-Conference selection after concluding the year with seven goals and seven assists. Watson was a two-time Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week (Sept. 9 and Sept. 22) in the 2009 season.
Watson was chosen to the Peach Belt Conference Preseason All-Conference team prior to the 2010 season.
