Make it a Pacer Friday!

AIKEN, S.C. - Do not forget that the first Pacer athletic home events of the 2009 season will be on Friday, Sept. 4 on the campus of USC Aiken.

The men's soccer team at USC Aiken will literally kick things off when they welcome seventh-ranked Lynn to the "Pacer Pit" at 5 p.m. on Friday. The match begins a four-match homestand for the USC Aiken men's soccer team.

Lynn is a national powerhouse that is coached by John Rootes, who coached Ofoje in college at Southern New Hampshire University. The two led the Penmen to the NCAA Division II National Championship in 1989.

Tickets as they will be all season for Pacer men's and women's soccer matches at "Pacer Pit" are free.

After watching the men's soccer program try and acquire one of the biggest wins in school history, Pacer fans are encouraged to make their way to the USCA Convocation Center for Pacer Volleyball Free Ice Cream Friday.
