Letien in 10th After First Two Rounds of Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate

Round Two Results

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken freshman Hayden Letien is in a tie for 10th place individually after the first two rounds of the Sixth Annual Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate at the 6,828-yard, par 72 Wexford Plantation course.

Letien (Sumter, S.C./Sumter) is in a tie with three others for 10th with a two-round tally of 148. Letien carded a 74 in both the first and second rounds of play on Monday.

The Pacers in total have three players in the top 35 in the event individually with Kyle Godsman (Moray, Scotland/Lossiemouth) and Mark Dickson (Edinburgh, Scotland/Firrhill) tied with seven others for 32nd at 153. Godsman opened with a 77 in the first round before posting a 76 in round two. Dickson carded a 74 in round one before acquiring a 79 in round two.

As a team, USC Aiken is in a tie with DePaul for seventh place with a two-round cumulative team score of 608.

The Pacers were consistent on Monday, carding a 304 as a team in both the first and second round.

William and Mary is leading the event after two rounds with a team tally of 587 (296-291). Indiana at 589 (289-300) is just two strokes behind in second, while Davidson at 593 (300-293) is in third.

Francis Marion’s Sebastian Backlund (71-72) and Indiana’s Brant Peaper (72-71) are the leaders individually through two rounds at 143.

The Sixth Annual Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate, which is hosted by Francis Marion, will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday. The action will get underway with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
