Dickson in 17th Place After First Two Rounds of Maryland Intercollegiate
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – USC Aiken's Mark Dickson is in a tie for 17th place after two rounds at the Third Annual Maryland Intercollegiate at the par 71, 6,801-yard River Marsh Club at the Hyatt Regency Resort.
Dickson (Edinburgh, Scotland/Firrhill) opened the tournament on Saturday with a first round even par score of 71 before posting a second round score of 73. Dickson's two-round tally of 144 ties him with four others for 17th.
Dickson was one of two Pacers in the top 50 after the first two rounds as teammate Kyle Godsman (Moray, Scotland/Lossiemouth) is tied with five others for 42nd place after the two rounds with a two-round tally of 150 (76-74).
As a team, USC Aiken is in 12th place after the inaugural two rounds. The23rd-ranked Pacers carded a total team tally of 601 in the two rounds. USC Aiken finished round one with a team score of 302 before improving by three strokes with a 299 in the second round.
UNC Wilmington is in the lead after the first day with a team score of 560 (280-280). They are just one stroke ahead of current second-place team Penn State (561).
Toledo's Jean Hubert-Trahan is the leader presently at 137. Hubert-Trahan opened play on Saturday with a current tournament-low 66 before carding an even par 71 in the second round. Hubert-Trahan's 137 has him one stroke ahead of Penn State's Michael Miller and Max Marsico, who are tied for second at 138.
The third and final round of the Maryland Intercollegiate will get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19.
