Letien Named to Division II PING All-Southeast Region Team

NORMAN, Okla. – University of South Carolina Aiken freshman Hayden Letien has been named to the NCAA Division II Ping Southeast Region All-Region team.

The announcement came from the Golf Coaches Association of America on Wednesday evening.

A total of 104 players across eight regions - East, Atlantic, Southeast, South, Midwest, South Central, Central and West - earned all-region honors for 2011. Letien was one of seven golfers from the Peach Belt Conference named to the all-region team.

A 2011 All-Peach Belt Conference selection, Letien finished the 2010-11 season for the nationally-ranked Pacers with a team-best 73.9 stroke average in 26 rounds played. His stroke average placed him in the top 25 in school history for single season scoring.

The Sumter, S.C. native recorded three top 10 finishes this past year, which included a third-place finish at West Florida’s Argonaut Invitational. He was also sixth at the Lander Bearcat Classic and eighth at Francis Marion's Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate.
