USC Aiken in 17th Place After First Two Rounds of Insperity Augusta State Invitational

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The NCAA Division II 17^th-ranked University of South Carolina Aiken golf team concluded the first two rounds of play at the 2011 Insperity Augusta State Invitational at the par 72, 7,029-yard Forest Hills Golf Club in 17^th place.

USC Aiken opened the tournament with a 304 in the first round before posting a 312 in the second round for a total two-round score of 616.

The Pacers presently have two players in the top 60 as Hayden Letien is in a tie for 54^th and Kyle Godsman is tied for 59^th.

Letien (Sumter, S.C./Sumter) currently owns a two-round tally of 150 (73-77). Godsman (Moray, Scotland/Lossiemouth) posted a two-round score of 152 (75-77).

NCAA Division I No. 1 Oklahoma State is in first after the first two rounds with a total team score of 556 (277-279). Nationally 36^th-ranked Tennessee is in second at 566 (282-284), while national No. 31 Clemson is in third at 575 (279-296).  

Oklahoma State's Kevin Tway is in first individually with an 11-under-par score of 133 (64-69).

The third and final round of the 2011 Insperity Augusta State Invitational is scheduled to get underway at 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 3. The first Pacer is scheduled to tee off at 10:30 a.m. on hole No. 10.
