Pacers in a Tie for 14th After First Two Rounds of Bobcat Invitational
EATONTON, Ga. – The 20th-ranked USC Aiken golf team
concluded the first two rounds of the Bobcat Invitational at the
par 70 Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee Golf Course in a tie for 14th
place with a cumulative team score of 610.
The two-round team tally of 610 ties the Pacers with North
Greenville for 14th.
USC Aiken opened the first round on Monday with a 307, but they
improved by four strokes in the second round with a 303.
The top performer for the Pacers in the first two rounds was Kevin
Grady (Woodbine, Md./Century), who ended the first day of the event
tied with eight others for 23rd with a two-round score of 149.
Grady posted a 75 in the first round and then a 74 in the second
round on Monday.
West Florida and Lynn are tied for the team lead after the first
two rounds of play at the prestigious Bobcat Invitational with a
total team aggregate score of 582. Both secured a team score
of 289 in the first round that was followed up by a second round
tally of 293. Belmont Abbey is not too far behind in third at 587
(307-280).
Belmont Abbey’s Peter Tarver Jones is the overall individual
leader through the first two rounds with a one-under-par score of
139 (71-68).
The third and final round of the 2010 Bobcat Invitational will
begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23. The first Pacer is
scheduled to tee off at 9:18 a.m.
