Pacer Men Advance to Sixth in Latest Region Rankings
INDIANAPOLIS – The University of South Carolina Aiken men’s basketball team moved up one spot to sixth in the latest NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings.
USC Aiken is one of seven Peach Belt Conference teams in the latest region poll with Augusta State (second), Georgia Southwestern (third), Armstrong Atlantic State (seventh), Clayton State (eighth), UNC Pembroke (ninth) and Francis Marion (10th) all among the top 10.
The South Atlantic Conference’s Lincoln Memorial is still the No. 1 team in the latest region poll, which is the third of the 2010-11 season.
The regionally-ranked Pacers (13-7, 7-6 PBC) will next travel to Montevallo, Ala. for a contest with Montevallo on Thursday, Feb. 10. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EST.
The contest is the second game of a Peach Belt Conference men’s and women’s basketball twinbill as the nationally 15th-ranked Pacer women will square off against the Montevallo women prior to the men’s contest at 6:30 p.m. EST.
