Bourdo Named South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week

AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken baseball player Tyler Bourdo was named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week on May 1, 2011.

Bourdo led USC Aiken in its final week of the 2011 season with a .429 batting average (3-for-7). He had three RBIs and scored one run on the week.

The Evans, Ga. native claimed one hit in all three of USC Aiken’s games on the week. He had an on-base percentage of .500.

In USC Aiken’s win over Young Harris on Monday, Apr. 25, Bourdo was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and one run scored. In the Pacer win over Erskine on Friday, Apr. 29, Bourdo was 1-for-3 with an RBI. He was 1-for-2 in USC Aiken’s season finale against Erskine on Saturday, Apr. 30.
