Bellantoni Named South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week
AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken baseball player Stephen Bellantoni was named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week on April 24, 2011.
Bellantoni led the Pacers last week with a .429 batting average (6-for-14). The junior transfer from Oviedo, Fla. finished the week with two RBIs and one run scored.
In the field, USC Aiken’s centerfielder had 10 putouts.
Bellantoni claimed multiple hits in two of USC Aiken’s four games on the week.
He opened his week by going 2-for-3 with two RBIs in USC Aiken’s Outback Cup win over rival Augusta State at Roberto Hernandez Stadium on Wednesday, Apr. 20.
In USC Aiken’s final game of the week against Montevallo on Saturday, Apr. 23 he was 3-for-4 with one run scored. He had a double in the contest.
