USC Aiken Holds Inaugural “Positively Pacers” Event

Special "Positively Pacers" Edition of Inside Pacer Athletics

AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken athletic department in conjunction with the USC Aiken office of student involvement held the inaugural “Positively Pacers” event on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011.

The special community engagement event featured free food and fun and games. There was even an opportunity for those in attendance to make wax hands and customized bumper stickers.

All of the 2011-12 USC Aiken athletic teams were in attendance and each coach introduced their team and gave a short presentation about the upcoming year.

As a way to promote the Pacer cause, all of those that brought another schools t-shirt (high school or college) turned that shirt in on Friday for a free Pacers t-shirt.

Approximately 100 t-shirts were traded in for Pacer t-shirts. The swapped t-shirts are being donated to the Cumbee Center for abused women and children.

The “Positively Pacers” event was free and open to the public.
