School-Record Tying 106 Pacer Student-Athletes Named to 2010-11 PBC Presidential Honor Roll
AUGUSTA, Ga. – For the second consecutive year, a school-record 106 University of South Carolina Aiken student-athletes have been named to the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll.
The Peach Belt Conference unveiled the 2010-11 Presidential Honor Roll from the league office on Friday, June 24, 2011.
The 106 Pacer student-athletes placed on the PBC Presidential Honor Roll marks the fourth consecutive year that USC Aiken has placed over 96 student-athletes on the Honor Roll after placing 96 on the list in 2007-08, 98 on the list in 2008-09 and 106 on the Honor Roll during the 2009-10 athletic year.
In total, USC Aiken’s 106 student-athletes were a part of 1,059 student-athletes named to the Presidential Honor Roll.
The Presidential Honor Roll recognizes all student-athletes at the 13 PBC member institutions who had a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the academic year.
The honor roll has been divided into four groups: Presidential Scholars, Bronze Scholars, Silver Scholars and Gold Scholars. All student-athletes with a GPA from 3.0 to 3.24 are Presidential Scholars while Bronze Scholars are 3.25 to 3.49; Silver 3.50 to 3.74 and Gold Scholars are those with a 3.75 to 4.00.
The 1,059 student-athletes honored gives the league more than a 1,000 honorees for the second consecutive season. Last year, the league honored over a thousand student-athletes for the first time in its history. Each student-athlete will receive a certificate from the conference office.
