A Free Car! Well, at Least a Shot for a Free Car at all Pacer Home Basketball Games!

AIKEN, S.C. - The University of South Carolina Aiken athletic department and a trio of local sponsors recently started a unique halftime promotion at all Pacer home basketball games at the Convocation Center in the 2009-10 season.

The new promotion is titled the Burger King Breakfast Shot for a Car! The special Burger King Breakfast Shot for a Car halftime promotion is sponsored by Burger King along with Aiken Motorcycle and Satcher Ford.

The Burger King Breakfast Shot for a Car gives one lucky fan during each and every Pacer home men's and/or women's basketball game during the 2009-10 season a chance to win a new car!

A ticket is drawn out each and every game and the lucky fan chosen will then have a chance to try and hit a 71-foot shot from the other free throw line to obtain a free car courtesy of Satcher Ford.

The Burger King Breakfast Shot for a Car promotion is already a hit among Pacer fans. The year-long promotion started with USC Aiken's thrilling men's basketball overtime win over Life on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at the Convocation Center. Nobody has claimed the car yet, but there are five more chances for Pacer fans to claim the free car before the holiday break.

The next Pacer home game is this Saturday as the Pacer men host Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference power Benedict at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5. One week later, the USC Aiken women will host Georgia College & State at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12.

The first USC Aiken men's and women's basketball doubleheader of the year is on Thursday, Dec. 17 and that evening two lucky fans will have a chance to shoot for the car, beginning at halftime of the USC Aiken's women's basketball contest with nationally-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne at 6 p.m. Immediately following the women's tilt against L-R, the Pacer men will host Allen at approximately 8 p.m.

The final Pacer home game before the holiday break features the Pacer women tangling with South Atlantic Conference power Carson-Newman at 1:30 on Saturday, Dec. 19.
